Faith Foundation NW Prepares for Summer 2024 Board Retreat

Ellensburg, WA - August 1, 2024 - Faith Foundation Northwest is excited to announce its upcoming 2024 Summer Board Retreat, set to take place at Lazy F, a UMC Camp in Ellensburg, WA, from August 7-9. The retreat promises a blend of productive meetings, enriching sessions, and engaging activities, in the theme of the Summer Olympics for board members, staff, families, and friends.

The event will kick off on Wednesday, August 7, with check-in beginning at 2:00 PM. Many attendees are bringing family and friends to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and participate in various activities. The opening ceremonies, starting at 4:00 PM, will include an opening prayer by Rev. Joe Kim, a water “torch” relay, and a welcoming orientation. The evening will feature a fun Water Olympics session, a hearty dinner, and a campfire circle to foster camaraderie and community spirit.

On Thursday, August 8, the day will begin with breakfast and a gathering song led by Rev. Lynn Rabenstein. The Faith Foundation Northwest Board Meeting will follow, where important reports and new business will be discussed. The day will also include multiple retreat sessions led by Rev. Gregg Sealey and his consulting firm.  The late afternoon includes free time for outdoor activities and another Water Olympics event, concluding with a campfire circle in the evening, at which the Olympics awards will be presented.

Friday, August 9, will feature breakfast, more retreat sessions, and board committee presentations, covering topics such as investment updates, cyber security, and the launch of a new grants program. The retreat will conclude with a closing ceremony at 11:30 AM. A good time will be had by all.
